Vatican City

We spent our last morning in Rome at the Vatican before catching the rail to Florence. We hit up the museum and the Sistine Chappell which were both beautiful. Michelangelo was a heck of a painter for sure. The paintings and sculptures were great to admire. Unfortunately, the huge crowds and tour groups took away from the experience in my opinion. But all said and done it was a great sight to see and I'm very glad we made time for it. We didn't go to St. Peter's basilica due to time. I guess we have a good excuse to come back.

The train to Florence was non stop and only took about 1hr. Our hotel again has free wifi and breakfast. I'm starting to love the Italian hotels. We had another great dinner and I'm really getting used to a nice espresso afterwards. The Italian hand made pasta is simply delicious.

We have no major plans for tomorrow which should make for a nice relaxing day. Hopefully I can find a nice jacket because I know our next stops are going to be much colder and I didn't pack very well. Not many tall Italians though, so a good fit might be hard to find.

I'll put some pics up tonight.
